Davening / Prayer customs
Our services are fully egalitarian, with mixed seating, and all genders allowed to lead and be counted in a minyan (a quorum of 10 Jewish adults).
We follow the full liturgy, with the prayer service conducted entirely in Hebrew. We do not use instruments other than our voices.
If you’re having a hard time following along in the siddur (prayer book), ask your neighbor to point you to where we are in the service. If you are new to the words and/or melody, don’t worry -- just hum along! Let yourself be caught up in the spirit and song of the community.
For recordings of the melodies you will likely hear on Friday night, check out our resources page.

Siddur (Prayerbook)
We use Chaverim Kol Yisraeil, which features traditional Hebrew text, gender neutral translations, transliteration, and commentary. We call page numbers from this siddur throughout the service to help you follow along. Feel free to bring your own siddur if you'd like!
Potluck Guidelines
Everyone is welcome to join in a vegetarian potluck dinner after davening. In an effort to have enough food for everyone, we ask that each individual bring at at least eight servings of your contribution. Please bring your food fully prepared along with anything you may need to serve it.
To help make sure that we have enough variety, please add your name to our potluck sign-up list ahead of time.
